COVID-19 UPDATE

To our valued patient,

We are committed to mitigating the community spread of COVID-19 and protecting our patients and staff in all aspects of care.  We are providing the following guidance and will continue to share additional information as we return to providing care in a safe and measured way.  We have been closely following local, state and national guidelines and as these institutions have relaxed restrictions, we want to be able to offer our patients the care they deserve while ensuring the health and safety of our patients and staff.

  • As with all clinical care, the decision for treatment will be made on an individual basis between you and your physician.
  • To follow guidelines of “social distancing” we are limiting time in the waiting room and having most patients placed directly into an exam room upon your arrival.
  • We are wiping down the exam rooms after each patient visit (include otoscopes, exam beds, counter tops).  We are disinfecting the common areas (like doorknobs, check out stations) throughout the day. We have temporarily suspended our coffee and snack service in the offices.  Please let the staff know if you need anything and we would be happy to provide it to you.
  • Practice good hygiene.  To help decrease the risk of spreading infection, please follow the CDC guidelines of washing your hands frequently, etc. Most importantly, do not touch your face and no hand shaking.   We ask that when you are in our office, you wear some type of face covering.
  • Please note that testing for COVID-19 is expanding throughout DFW. We do not test for COVID-19 in our office.
  • We will be screening all patients coming in for appointments by phone prior to your appointment to minimize the risk of COVID-19 at the time of your visit. We can arrange for telehealth for you and even for your loved ones (new appointments) via telehealth.  We will still be doing selective procedures, including skin testing.
  • If you are positive for any risk factors, please do not come to the office for the protection of the staff and our other patients.
  • If your work needs a letter to be off for COVID-19, please discuss that with our staff and we may be able to provide you a work letter if warranted by your physician.
  • We ask that you come alone for your visit if possible. For patients that are children, we ask that the primary care giver accompany them to their visit.
  • Please complete all paperwork and provide all updated insurance information through your portal prior to your arrival to the office.
  • We have limited access to our suite to personnel that need to be in the office.  All non-essential persons are asked not to enter the facility.
  • For sick visits we offer telehealth visits as we want to limit our potential exposure to the virus but at the same time, we want to help patients that may have allergy/asthma flares.  Please call us if you have any concerns.

Your cooperation is essential and please be patient with us as we navigate these difficult times and continue to provide you with the excellent service you deserve.  We are honored and pleased to be a part of your care.  For more information please visit www.cdc.gov.  We will get through this together.
